Avid Builders is a custom home remodeling contractor working the Twin Cities metro from our Burnsville office. Kitchens, bathrooms, lower levels, additions and whole homes, for over twenty years.
We are not a big company with a rotating crew. Lamont Steinwand runs the projects and is the person you talk to from the first phone call through the last punch item. Terry is the main trimmer and foreman, the one making sure the finish work is right before anyone calls the job done. Customers name both of them in reviews written years apart, which is a better account of who we are than anything we could write here ourselves.

Lamont Steinwand
Lamont runs the projects, from the first phone consultation through the design stage and the proposal, and he is the contact you will reach directly at lamont@avidbuildersmn.com. Reviewers describe him as thinking through a space rather than handing over a standard layout, and as someone who keeps customers informed the whole way through.
Terry, main trimmer and foreman
Terry runs the finish work and the crew on site. He is named alongside Lamont in reviews written years apart, which is the clearest evidence we have that the same two people are still the ones doing the work.
Ryan and Patty are also named crew, called out by one customer for a project that combined an addition with a front elevation upgrade. The names change job to job as the work requires, but Lamont and Terry are the two constants across every project.
